Diversity and Inclusion - Beyond Women in Tech

Methodology & Culture
Methodology & Culture
Beginner & novice level
Room 10 Wednesday from 13:05 til 13:20

At developer conferences we talk about inclusivity, yet for the last 5 years, women hold less than 20% of all technology positions in the work force, and attendance at developer conferences is even less in most cases (the numbers are even fewer for minority groups). In order to create technologies that serve the society as a whole, we need more diversity, and beyond including women in technology. In this session you will learn how to make conferences more inclusive and diverse - for women, minorities, LGBTQ and non binary individuals. Learn simple ways to support and include a more diverse community in the office, at conferences, and online.
